Roles & Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead nursing staff in Med Surg and Emergency Room departments
• Provide direct patient care as a working supervisor, splitting time between Med Surg and ER
• Coordinate patient care, assign tasks, and ensure quality standards are met
• Manage staffing schedules and respond to unit needs in real time
• Serve as a resource and mentor for nursing team members
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of nursing experience required
• Active RN license in Iowa or compact state (must be currently active)
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required
• Supervisory or charge nurse experience in Med Surg and ER settings
• OB/Newborn stabilization education or training preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong leadership and supervisory skills
• Expertise in Med Surg and Emergency Room nursing
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and team collaboration
• Proficiency in patient assessment and critical thinking
