Roles & Responsibilities

• Evaluate, consult, and treat patients to restore function and improve quality of life
• Develop and progress patient plans of care toward prior level of function or maximum medical improvement
• Perform comprehensive assessments and reassessments for pediatric, adolescent, and geriatric populations
• Maintain accurate patient records including progress notes and daily documentation
• Supervise and instruct Physical Therapist Assistants, students, and support staff
• Collaborate with the Rehabilitation Department Manager to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Qualifications

• Current Colorado Physical Therapy license in good standing
• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program (bachelor's, master's, or doctoral degree)
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Physical Therapist
• BLS certification preferred (or ability to obtain upon hire)

Education

• Earned degree from an accredited program in Physical Therapy

Knowledge & Skills

• Excellent communication skills to interact with patients, families, physicians, and team members
• Ability to adapt to changing conditions and manage multiple priorities
• Manual dexterity for hands-on patient assessment and therapeutic exercise
• Physical ability to lift and move patients and equipment up to 20 pounds
• Visual and hearing acuity to receive feedback and information from patients
• Strong counseling skills to educate patients and families on treatment plans
