Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform initial and ongoing age-appropriate nursing assessments
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and physician orders
• Administer medications safely using the five rights and evaluate patient response
• Communicate patient care activities to the healthcare team and update on status changes
• Document patient care in accordance with hospital standards
• Provide patient and family education and ensure understanding of discharge plan
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and bedside rounding
• Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients and staff

Qualifications

• Current Maine RN license or compact state license
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience
• BLS certification required (must be current)
• ACLS certification preferred
• Possess critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to assess patients across all age groups
