MRI Technologist - Diagnostic Imaging
Location: York, Maine
Start Date: 08-10-2026
Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Sunday, Wednesday, Saturday, 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM, variable shifts may be required due to census
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform MRI procedures using advanced protocols and equipment
- Screen patients for contraindications and ensure MRI safety per ACR guidelines
- Educate patients on procedures and address concerns with empathy and clarity
- Monitor patients visually and verbally throughout exams
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare team to deliver high-quality imaging
Qualifications
- ARRT registered in MRI required
- Current BLS certification (obtained within 4 months of hire)
- Influenza vaccination required as per Maine state law (medical exemptions considered)
- Minimum 2 years of MRI experience preferred
- Ability to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays as needed
Education
- Associate's Degree or Certificate from an accredited MRI or radiologic technology program
Knowledge & Skills
- Expertise in MRI safety protocols and patient screening
- Proficiency in operating MRI equipment and building scanning protocols
- Strong patient communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality patient care
