Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform MRI procedures using advanced protocols and equipment
• Screen patients for contraindications and ensure MRI safety per ACR guidelines
• Educate patients on procedures and address concerns with empathy and clarity
• Monitor patients visually and verbally throughout exams
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare team to deliver high-quality imaging

Qualifications

• ARRT registered in MRI required
• Current BLS certification (obtained within 4 months of hire)
• Influenza vaccination required as per Maine state law (medical exemptions considered)
• Minimum 2 years of MRI experience preferred
• Ability to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays as needed

Education

• Associate's Degree or Certificate from an accredited MRI or radiologic technology program

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in MRI safety protocols and patient screening
• Proficiency in operating MRI equipment and building scanning protocols
• Strong patient communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality patient care
