Roles & Responsibilities

• Decontaminate and disinfect surgical instruments and equipment
• Inspect, assemble, and package instrument trays
• Operate sterilizers and accurately document loads
• Maintain inventory of sterile supplies and alert leadership when stock runs low
• Follow infection control protocols to keep patients and staff safe
• Collaborate with the perioperative team to ensure every tray is ready for surgery

Qualifications

• Experience in sterile processing and a passion for patient safety
• CRCST or CSPDT certification preferred
• Comfortable standing for extended periods and handling surgical instruments
• Excellent attention to detail and a team-player attitude
• Pediatric or surgical setting experience is a plus

Knowledge & Skills

• Understanding of sterilization methods like steam and H2O2
• Familiarity with instrument identification and tray assembly
• Knowledge of infection prevention standards including AAMI and OSHA
• Strong organizational and documentation skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with surgical teams
