Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive dental hygiene care, including cleanings and periodontal therapy
• Capture and develop dental X-rays while ensuring patient comfort
• Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques and preventive care
• Assist the dentist during procedures and maintain a sterile environment
• Document patient care accurately and maintain confidential records
• Champion infection control and safety standards in the practice

Qualifications

• Active Virginia Dental Hygienist license in good standing
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Strong patient communication and chairside manner
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Commitment to delivering high-quality, compassionate care

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental instruments, equipment, and sterilization protocols
• Proficiency in dental radiography and digital imaging
• Excellent interpersonal skills for patient education
• Attention to detail in documentation and patient records
• Ability to adapt quickly to new practice settings
