Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver compassionate, high-quality dental hygiene care to every patient
- Perform dental cleanings, prophylaxis, and periodontal maintenance
- Take and process dental radiographs safely and accurately
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and preventive care
- Collaborate with the dentist to develop personalized treatment plans
- Maintain a clean, sterile, and welcoming operatory environment
- Document patient care thoroughly in electronic health records
- Champion infection control and safety protocols at all times
Qualifications
- Active Dental Hygienist license in Pennsylvania
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Graduate of an accredited dental hygiene program
- Previous dental hygiene experience preferred
- Strong communication skills and a warm chairside manner
Education
- Associate degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of dental hygiene procedures and instruments
- Proficiency in digital radiography and X-ray safety
- Understanding of infection control and sterilization standards
- Excellent patient education and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced dental environment
- Familiarity with electronic dental records
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
