Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist orthodontists during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment for each patient
• Take and develop dental x-rays and impressions as instructed
• Apply and remove braces, wires, and other orthodontic appliances
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and care of orthodontic devices
• Maintain accurate patient records and update treatment charts

Qualifications

• Must hold orthodontic certification (COA or equivalent)
• Prior experience in dental assisting, preferably in orthodontics
• Current CPR certification is a plus
• Strong communication and patient care skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in orthodontic procedures and materials
• Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization techniques
• Ability to take and interpret dental x-rays
• Excellent interpersonal and patient education skills
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities
