Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes to the nursing team
• Support residents' mobility and transfer needs with proper body mechanics
• Provide compassionate companionship and emotional support to residents
• Collaborate with nurses and care team members to update and follow care plans
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents

Qualifications

• Active Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) certification in Maryland
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Experience caring for elderly patients in long-term care or skilled nursing settings
• Ability to lift and transfer residents safely
• Compassionate, patient, and dependable attitude

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of ADL assistance and proper body mechanics
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to observe and report changes in residents' condition
• Team-oriented with a resident-centered approach
• Effective time management and organizational skills
