Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform thorough decontamination of surgical instruments and equipment
• Assemble and package sterile instrument trays with precision
• Operate sterilizers and monitor sterilization cycles to ensure safety
• Reprocess flexible scopes and endoscopes according to guidelines
• Maintain detailed records of all sterilization activities
• Collaborate with OR staff to guarantee instruments are ready for every procedure

Qualifications

• Active BLS certification (AHA)
• CRCST certification through HSPA
• 2+ years of sterile processing experience
• Experience with EPIC charting system
• Ability to take weekend/holiday call with a 30-minute response time

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in decontamination, assembly, and sterilization techniques
• Knowledge of scope reprocessing best practices
• Familiarity with operating room instrumentation and equipment
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Comfortable using EPIC and other hospital systems
