Roles & Responsibilities

• Sterilize and prepare surgical instruments and equipment
• Assemble and organize instrument trays for surgeries
• Inspect instruments for cleanliness and functionality
• Operate sterilization equipment following safety protocols
• Maintain accurate records of sterilization processes
• Collaborate with surgical staff to ensure instrument availability

Qualifications

• Certification as a Sterile Processing Technician (HSPA or similar)
• Current BLS certification
• Minimum 1 year of experience preferred
• Attention to detail and ability to follow strict procedures

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of sterilization techniques and infection control
• Ability to handle delicate instruments
• Understanding of medical terminology related to surgical instruments
• Familiarity with automated sterilization equipment
