Roles & Responsibilities

• Sterilize and disinfect surgical instruments and equipment to ensure the highest safety standards
• Assemble and package instrument trays according to detailed specifications
• Operate and monitor sterilizers, documenting every cycle accurately
• Inspect instruments for damage or wear and report any issues promptly
• Coordinate with surgical teams to ensure instruments are ready when needed
• Maintain a clean, organized work area following infection control protocols

Qualifications

• Active BLS certification required
• Certified Sterile Processing Technician (CRCST or CBSPT) preferred
• Previous sterile processing experience in a hospital or surgical setting is a plus
• Ability to follow strict protocols with sharp attention to detail

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong understanding of infection control standards and sterilization techniques
• Familiarity with automated washers, sterilizers, and processing equipment
• Excellent documentation and record-keeping skills
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Great communication and teamwork skills
