Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on patient care throughout the overnight shift
- Assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility
- Monitor and document vital signs and promptly report any changes
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the patient chart
- Support patient safety and infection-control practices at all times
- Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver excellent care
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification (required)
- Valid state certification/license for CNAs
- Recent clinical experience in patient care or long-term care preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Ability to pass background check and drug screen
- Strong communication skills and a patient-first attitude
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of patient care and activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Skill in taking and reporting vital signs accurately
- Understanding of infection control and patient safety practices
- Basic charting and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently on overnight shifts and escalate concerns appropriately
- Teamwork and time-management in a fast-paced clinical setting
