Roles & Responsibilities

• Place patients into the most appropriate unit using TeleTracking and Cerner, ensuring safe and efficient bed placement
• Use strong critical thinking to flag inappropriate bed requests and communicate with charge nurses or leadership
• Manage multiple applications and communications across three screens (TeleTrac, Cerner, Google chats, Zoom)
• Coordinate with ED, unit leadership and bed management teams to expedite patient flow
• Maintain professional, customer-focused communication with clinical teams while not providing hands-on patient care
• Follow hospital policies and complete required pre-assignment modules and dys exam within required timeframes

Qualifications

• Active RN license required to submit (LVN or CNA licenses accepted per posting; RN preferred)
• Minimum 2 years recent acute care experience preferred (ER/ICU/critical care background ideal)
• Experience with TeleTracking and Cerner is required
• Comfortable with advanced computer use (Zoom and Google applications preferred)
• Strong multitasking, customer service and critical thinking skills
• Ability to complete required modules and pass the Dys exam within 24-48 hours (two attempt policy applies)

Education

• BSN not required (BSN Required: No)
• Current nursing license (RN) or applicable LVN/CNA license as specified

Knowledge & Skills

• Proven bed management and patient placement workflows
• Familiarity with EMR charting (Cerner) and TeleTracking bed systems
• Excellent written and verbal communication across multidisciplinary teams
• High proficiency with Google apps, chat platforms and virtual meeting tools (Zoom)
• Ability to prioritize and make rapid, informed decisions in a high-volume acute setting
