Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 3 x 12-hour night shifts per week, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Monitor and manage progressive care patients with confidence and compassion
Administer cardiac drips, insulin drips, and heparin protocols saving lives daily
Provide expert care for stroke patients and post-cardiac cath recovery
Perform peritoneal dialysis and manage advanced respiratory support like BiPAP and high flow oxygen
Insert and maintain NG/Dobhoff tubes while ensuring hourly rounding and exceptional patient experience
Collaborate with a tight-knit team in a care-like-family environment

Qualifications

Active RN license with at least 2 years of PCU or similar experience
BLS and ACLS certifications required and ready to go
Strong critical thinking skills with proven EKG rhythm interpretation
Comfortable with peripheral IVs and floating between PCU units or med-surg as needed

Education

RN licensure from an accredited nursing program

Knowledge & Skills

Mastery of cardiac, insulin, and heparin drips
EKG rhythm interpretation and critical thinking under pressure
BiPAP, high flow O2, Vapotherm, and multiple oxygen systems
Peritoneal dialysis, tube feedings, NG/Dobhoff tubes, and stroke care
Post cardiac cath care, wound vacs, and chest tube management
