Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor patient respiratory status
• Administer respiratory treatments and medications
• Provide patient and family education on respiratory care
• Collaborate with physicians and the care team to optimize treatment plans
• Document patient progress accurately and timely
• Maintain respiratory therapy equipment and ensure safety protocols
• Respond to respiratory emergencies as needed

Qualifications

• Active Respiratory Therapist (RT) license in the state of Illinois
• BLS (CPR) certification required
• Graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy program
• Prior experience in respiratory care or rehab setting preferred
• Strong patient assessment and critical thinking skills

• Knowledge of respiratory therapy modalities and equipment
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
