Respiratory Therapist - NICU/PICU
Location: Houston, Texas

Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Sunday-Saturday, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $46 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide expert respiratory care to neonates and pediatric patients in critical care settings
- Perform intubations, surfactant administration, and delivery support with confidence
- Manage advanced ventilators including Crossvent, Drager VN500, and Hamilton G5
- Collaborate with a dynamic multidisciplinary team to deliver life-saving interventions
- Float across Adult ICU, Level 2-4 NICU, and PICU units to broaden your clinical impact
Qualifications
- Active Respiratory Therapist license in Texas or compact license
- Minimum 1 year of combined NICU and PICU experience required
- Current NRP, PALS, ACLS, and BLS certifications
- Level 3 NICU or pediatric critical care experience strongly preferred
- Delivery room experience is a plus
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient with high-frequency oscillators, nitric oxide delivery, and jet ventilation
- Comfortable floating between adult, pediatric, and neonatal critical care areas
- Strong assessment and quick decision-making skills in high-acuity environments
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
