Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive respiratory care across all inpatient hospital areas
- Manage both invasive and non-invasive ventilator support for critically ill patients
- Respond to emergencies and assist with intubations to ensure patient safety
- Perform arterial blood gases and pulmonary hygiene procedures
- Coordinate home oxygen assessments and patient transport for those with artificial airways
- Provide medication delivery and hyperinflation therapy tailored to each patient
Qualifications
- Current Colorado Respiratory Therapist license required
- RRT or CRT credential accepted
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required
- Experience providing respiratory modalities in hospital settings
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
Knowledge & Skills
- Respiratory modalities and medication delivery
- Ventilator management for both invasive and non-invasive support
- Emergency response and intubation assistance
- Arterial blood gas sampling and analysis
- Patient transport of critically ill individuals
- Home oxygen assessment and coordination
