Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care on assigned shifts
- Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and update care plans
- Assess patient condition, identify changes, and escalate concerns appropriately
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
- Document nursing assessments, interventions, and outcomes clearly and timely
- Educate patients and families to support recovery and discharge planning
- Help maintain a safe, organized unit environment and support quality initiatives
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice (or compact/Maine RN as applicable)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; advanced certifications a plus
- Clinical experience in acute care or similar settings preferred
- Clear background checks and up-to-date immunizations as required by facility
- Strong teamwork and communication skills; patient advocacy mindset
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid clinical assessment and critical thinking abilities
- Familiarity with electronic health records and accurate clinical documentation
- Medication administration and IV therapy skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a busy clinical environment
- Compassionate communication with patients, families, and staff
- Comfort working within established policies and clinical protocols
