Roles & Responsibilities

Provide high-quality, patient-centered nursing care for progressive coronary patients
Assess, monitor, and document patient status including cardiac telemetry and vitals
Administer medications and treatments safely and in accordance with hospital policy
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and recovery plans
Respond quickly to changes in patient condition and escalate appropriately
Support unit goals for quality, safety, and patient satisfaction through active participation

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license for the state of Georgia
Experience or interest in progressive care / intermediate coronary care settings
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
Strong clinical assessment and telemetry monitoring skills
Excellent communication and teamwork skills; compassionate patient focus
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize patient safety

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Telemetry interpretation and cardiac monitoring know-how
Medication administration and IV therapy skills
Clinical assessment, documentation, and critical thinking
Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems
Patient and family education techniques
Infection control and safety best practices
