Location: Omaha, Nebraska

Start Date: 07-06-2026

End Date: 10-05-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality care to oncology and trauma PCU patients
Administer chemotherapy and manage complex medication drips including heparin and cardizem
Monitor patients using ventilators and advanced hemodynamic equipment
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including PT/OT, case managers, and dietitians
Support patients and families through every stage of the cancer journey with respect and dignity
Float to same-level-of-care units to support team needs while maintaining excellent care standards

Qualifications

Active RN license and BLS certification required
ACLS and ONS/ONCC chemotherapy certification required
Minimum 1 year of PCU or oncology nursing experience
First-time travelers welcome
Valid driver's license required at time of submission
Must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility and have no prior employment with CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity

Knowledge & Skills

Chemotherapy administration and oncology nursing best practices
Ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring (CVP, A-line, Swan-Ganz, EV-1000)
ICP monitoring and insulin/cardizem titration experience
EPIC electronic medical record system
Strong teamwork, cultural sensitivity, and patient advocacy skills
