Registered Nurse - PCU/MedSurg/Oncology
Location: Omaha, Nebraska

Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, high-quality care to oncology and trauma PCU patients
- Administer chemotherapy and manage complex medication drips including heparin and cardizem
- Monitor patients using ventilators and advanced hemodynamic equipment
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including PT/OT, case managers, and dietitians
- Support patients and families through every stage of the cancer journey with respect and dignity
- Float to same-level-of-care units to support team needs while maintaining excellent care standards
Qualifications
- Active RN license and BLS certification required
- ACLS and ONS/ONCC chemotherapy certification required
- Minimum 1 year of PCU or oncology nursing experience
- First-time travelers welcome
- Valid driver's license required at time of submission
- Must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility and have no prior employment with CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity
Knowledge & Skills
- Chemotherapy administration and oncology nursing best practices
- Ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring (CVP, A-line, Swan-Ganz, EV-1000)
- ICP monitoring and insulin/cardizem titration experience
- EPIC electronic medical record system
- Strong teamwork, cultural sensitivity, and patient advocacy skills
