Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality care to oncology and trauma patients on a 28-bed PCU/Med-Surg unit
Administer chemotherapy and manage complex medication drips including heparin and cardizem
Monitor patients using ventilators and advanced hemodynamic equipment while delivering safe, attentive care
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of PT/OT, case managers, social workers, and dietitians to support holistic patient recovery
Float to other PCU and Med-Surg units as needed while maintaining excellent patient outcomes
Champion hourly rounding and patient experience initiatives to ensure every individual feels respected and supported

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and ONS/ONCC certifications required
Minimum 1 year of PCU or oncology nursing experience
Chemotherapy administration certification required
First-time travelers welcome with strong clinical skills

Knowledge & Skills

Chemotherapy administration and oncology nursing best practices
Ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring (CVP, A-line, Swan-Ganz, EV-1000)
ICP monitoring and titration of insulin and cardizem drips
EPIC electronic medical record experience preferred
Strong teamwork, cultural sensitivity, and genuine patient advocacy
