Location: Omaha, Nebraska

End Date: 09-21-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM and 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend, every third holiday

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to adult and geriatric patients on a fast-paced Progressive Care Unit
Monitor cardiac rhythms and titrate drips including Cardizem, beta blockers, and seizure medications
Perform continuous EEG monitoring and respond to changing patient conditions with critical thinking
Collaborate with charge nurses and patient care techs to maintain safe 1:4-5 nurse-to-patient ratios
Float to medical floors, ICU, or rehab as needed while delivering excellent patient outcomes
Complete required orientation and pass skills exams to ensure top-quality care delivery

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Minimum one year of PCU or telemetry experience preferred
Valid driver's license for radius verification
Ability to work 36 hours per week on rotating day and night shifts

Knowledge & Skills

Cardiac monitoring and drip titration expertise
EEG monitoring experience
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Positive attitude and willingness to help others
