Location: Bismarck, North Dakota

End Date: 09-28-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Mixed 8 and 12 hour shifts with start times including 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM, 8:30 AM - 9:00 PM, and 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM, plus on-call coverage from 6:30 PM - 9:00 PM; on-call maximum 1-2 nights per 6-week schedule and 24 hours of weekend call per 6-week schedule

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver exceptional Phase 1 and Phase 2 recovery care to patients of all ages, including pediatric patients daily
Monitor and support patients transitioning from the operating room, ensuring comfort and safety at every step
Collaborate with a dynamic interdisciplinary team to provide individualized, compassionate care
Float to inpatient units as a helping hand or sitter when needed, showcasing your versatility and teamwork
Respond to on-call needs within 30 minutes, ready to make a difference when patients need you most

Qualifications

Active RN license in North Dakota or compact license
BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
Minimum 3 years of PACU experience preferred, with demonstrated ability to recover pediatric patients
EPIC charting experience is a plus
Strong assessment skills and the ability to read cardiac strips confidently

Knowledge & Skills

Phase 1 and Phase 2 recovery expertise
Pediatric patient care with sensitivity to those with disabilities
Comfort managing ventilated patients on pressors and blood products
Excellent communication and a true team-player mindset
Flexibility to float and support various units as needed
