Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $57 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality care to oncology and telemetry patients on a 32-bed unit
Monitor cardiac rhythms and interpret EKGs using Phillips telemetry equipment
Administer chemotherapy treatments and manage complex medication regimens
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including charge nurses and oncology resource RNs
Float to other MedSurg/Telemetry units as needed to support hospital-wide patient care
Maintain sterile technique during procedures and complete skills validation in SIMs Lab

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Chemo certification preferred
Minimum one year of recent oncology or telemetry experience
Cerner EMR experience strongly preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Strong understanding of oncology nursing principles and symptom management
Ability to interpret cardiac rhythms and respond to telemetry alarms
Competence in sterile technique for Foley catheter insertion and central line care
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Comfortable floating between similar units and adapting to different patient populations
