Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality care to oncology and trauma patients across PCU and Med/Surg levels
Administer chemotherapy and manage complex medication drips including heparin, cardizem, and protonix
Monitor and respond to changes in patient conditions using ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring skills
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of PT/OT, case managers, social workers, and dietitians to deliver holistic care
Float to similar units as needed while maintaining excellent patient outcomes and satisfaction
Champion hourly rounding and patient experience initiatives to ensure every individual feels respected and supported

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and ONS/ONCC certifications required
Minimum 1 year of PCU or oncology nursing experience
Chemotherapy certification strongly preferred
EPIC experience within the last 6 months is helpful but not required
Valid driver's license required at time of submission

Knowledge & Skills

Chemotherapy administration and oncology patient care
Ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring (CVP, A-line, Swan-Ganz, EV-1000)
ICP monitoring and complex drip titration
Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
Ability to thrive in a culturally diverse patient population
