Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM with options for 10-hour and 12-hour shifts; mids starting at 9:00 AM or 10:45 AM

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $48 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Prepare operating rooms and ensure all equipment and supplies are ready for each procedure
Assist surgeons during a wide variety of cases including total joints, general, vascular, and spine surgeries
Maintain sterile technique and support the surgical team throughout every operation
Collaborate with the Clinical Supervisor and OR leadership to deliver exceptional patient care
Respond to on-call needs with professionalism and reliability

Qualifications

Current Surgical Tech certification and strong hands-on experience in the operating room
Proven expertise with total joints, general surgery, vascular surgery, and spine procedures
Comfortable working with Cerner Surginet EMR system
Ability to take 1-2 weeknight calls per week and approximately one weekend call per month
Positive attitude and commitment to patient safety and teamwork

Knowledge & Skills

Strong knowledge of sterile technique and surgical instrumentation
Familiarity with CVOR procedures including CABG, valve replacements, pacers, and lung cases
Experience with trauma, ENT, ortho, neuro, and general surgery cases
Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced surgical environment
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
