Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality care to neuro-telemetry patients including those recovering from strokes, brain injuries, and spinal surgeries
Monitor and interpret EKGs while safely titrating critical drips such as Amiodarone, Cardizem, and Insulin
Collaborate with a dynamic interdisciplinary team to deliver fast-paced, patient-centered care on a bustling 32-bed unit
Float to other telemetry units and ICU overflow as needed, showcasing your adaptability and clinical expertise
Maintain accurate documentation in Cerner while ensuring excellent bedside handoff communication

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Minimum 2 years of recent acute care experience
Level 1 trauma experience strongly preferred
Neuro experience highly valued

Knowledge & Skills

Strong EKG interpretation and dysrhythmia recognition
Confident with titrating cardiac and insulin drips
Proficient with Cerner EMR and WOW documentation
Comfortable with trached patients, CVAs, TBIs, and spinal surgery recovery
Ability to pass a pre-acceptance dysrhythmia exam (2 attempts allowed)
