Registered Nurse - PACU
Location: Lakewood, Colorado
Start Date: 07-06-2026
End Date: 10-05-2026
Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Variable start times between 7:30 AM - 11:00 AM, primarily covering 11:00 AM - 11:00 PM, with on-call requirements 1 night every 6 weeks including holidays
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $57 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional Phase 1 and Phase 2 recovery care for diverse surgical patients
- Monitor and respond to cardiac rhythms while caring for ICU patients in the PACU setting
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure seamless patient transitions from OR to recovery
- Manage complex cases including ortho, trauma, cardiac, urology, pulmonary, and GI procedures
- Utilize Epic EMR to document patient progress and coordinate care across the healthcare team
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Colorado or compact license
- ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required
- Previous ED or ICU experience strongly preferred
- Epic EMR experience highly valued
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills for post-anesthesia care
- Ability to manage multiple patients with 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratios
- Comfort working with vents, CPAP, BiPAP and other respiratory equipment
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Flexibility to float as needed and adapt to variable start times
