Location: Bismarck, North Dakota

Start Date: 06-29-2026

End Date: 09-28-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Mixed 8 and 12-hour shifts with start times including 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM, 8:30 AM - 9:00 PM, and 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM, plus on-call coverage from 6:30 PM - 9:00 PM

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide exceptional Phase 1 and Phase 2 recovery care for patients of all ages
Monitor and support pediatric patients with compassion and specialized attention
Care for higher-acuity patients including those on ventilators and pressors
Collaborate with the care team to ensure smooth patient transitions from the operating room
Float to inpatient units as a helping hand or sitter when needed
Respond to on-call needs within 30 minutes to support the surgical team

Qualifications

Active RN license in North Dakota or compact license
BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
Minimum 3 years of PACU experience preferred
Experience recovering pediatric patients strongly preferred
EPIC EMR experience required

Knowledge & Skills

Phase 1 and Phase 2 recovery expertise
Pediatric patient care and recovery
Ability to manage ventilated patients and those requiring pressors
Strong assessment and monitoring skills
Team collaboration and flexibility
Efficient time management and prioritization
