Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, schedules released 4-6 weeks in advance

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality care to adult and geriatric patients across multiple specialties
Float between MS-Tele, Cardiac, Neuro, Oncology, Rehab, Renal, Bariatrics, Ortho, Trauma, and ED Observation units
Monitor and manage patients on heparin drips while maintaining safe nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:5-6
Collaborate with designated charge nurses and interdisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional patient outcomes
Adapt quickly to new units and patient populations while maintaining clinical excellence

Qualifications

Active RN license with 2 years of MS-Tele experience in the last 3 years
Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Neuro experience preferred along with familiarity using Alaris pumps and EPIC documentation
Willingness to float within a 60-mile zone and maintain flexibility with scheduling

Knowledge & Skills

Strong assessment and critical thinking skills across cardiac, neuro, and post-surgical patient populations
Comfort with tele monitoring, heparin titration, and managing patients on vents, CPAP, and BiPAP
Ability to read cardiac strips and work collaboratively with monitor techs
Excellent communication and adaptability when floating between facilities and specialties
