Location: Baudette, Minnesota

Start Date: 06-22-2026

End Date: 09-21-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM and 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM, every 3rd weekend and 3rd holiday

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care across both MedSurg and ER units, adapting quickly to patient needs
Admit, discharge, and transfer patients while maintaining excellent continuity of care
Titrate critical medications including insulin, amiodarone, cardizem, and levophed
Start IVs, manage PICC lines and ports, and respond swiftly during codes and trauma situations
Collaborate with hospitalists and work independently in a small, supportive team environment
Float between Emergency Department and MedSurg to support patient care across the facility

Qualifications

Active RN license in Minnesota or compact license
BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required
Minimum ER experience required to float between units
Ability to read telemetry strips and perform EKGs independently
Comfortable working with minimal staffing and high patient acuity

Knowledge & Skills

Strong ER and MedSurg clinical skills
Experience with titratable drips and critical care medications
Ability to respond to codes, stroke alerts, and trauma situations
Familiarity with Meditech EMR and EMTALA regulations
Excellent communication and independent decision-making skills
