Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care to medical-surgical patients
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care plans
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to optimize outcomes
• Monitor and document patient progress, responding quickly to changes
• Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, and discharge care
• Maintain a safe, healing environment and uphold quality standards

Qualifications

• Current Alabama RN license in good standing
• BLS certification required (ACLS preferred)
• Med/Surg nursing experience preferred, new grads with strong clinical rotations encouraged
• Ability to assess, prioritize, and adapt in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Flexibility to work varied shifts as needed

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid foundation in medical-surgical nursing principles and best practices
• Skilled in patient assessment, medication administration, IV therapy, and wound care
• Comfortable using electronic health records and documentation systems
• Compassionate and clear communication with patients, families, and teammates
• Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and prioritization abilities
