Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to Med/Surg patients, monitoring vital signs and responding to changes in condition
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered, ensuring patient safety and comfort
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Educate patients and their families on health conditions and post-discharge care
• Document patient assessments and interventions accurately and promptly
• Advocate for your patients' needs and coordinate care across departments

Qualifications

• Current and active RN license in Louisiana or compact state (NLC)
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association required
• Previous Med/Surg nursing experience preferred, but new graduates with a passion for patient care are encouraged to apply
• Ability to assess, plan, and evaluate patient care in a fast-paced environment
• Strong critical thinking and communication skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of Med/Surg nursing principles and best practices
• Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) and documentation
• Skills in patient assessment, medication administration, and IV therapy
• Ability to work collaboratively and adapt to changing situations
• Compassionate bedside manner and excellent interpersonal skills
