Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to medical-surgical patients with a variety of conditions
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team
• Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and respond promptly to changes in patient status
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions
• Document patient information accurately and maintain clear communication with providers
• Advocate for patient safety and quality care throughout the shift

Qualifications

• Current and active RN license in Louisiana (or compact state)
• BLS certification from AHA required
• Previous Med/Surg or acute care nursing experience preferred
• Strong critical thinking and communication skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of medical-surgical nursing principles and best practices
• Comfort with electronic health records and charting systems
• Ability to prioritize care in a fast-paced environment
• Team-oriented mindset with a patient-first approach
