Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care to medical-surgical patients
• Assess patient conditions and monitor vital signs throughout the shift
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate care
• Educate patients and their families on diagnosis, treatment plans, and discharge instructions
• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation

Qualifications

• Active Louisiana RN license or compact state license
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Previous med/surg or acute care experience preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply
• Strong critical thinking and clinical judgment skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of med/surg nursing best practices
• Proficiency in patient assessment and care planning
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Comfortable using electronic health records (EHR)
• Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care
