Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, compassionate nursing care to medical-surgical patients, from assessment through discharge
• Monitor vital signs, administer medications and treatments, and manage patient care plans
• Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and the care team to ensure the best possible outcomes
• Educate patients and families on health conditions, medications, and aftercare
• Document patient progress accurately and maintain a safe, healing environment

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in Iowa or a compact state
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• NIHSS certification required
• Recent Med/Surg nursing experience strongly preferred
• Ability to meet Trinity Health immunization, drug screen, and background requirements

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Experience with IV therapy, wound care, and medication administration
• Comfortable with electronic health records (EHR) and documentation
• Excellent communication and patient education abilities
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
