Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, high-quality medical-surgical nursing care to adult patients
• Perform thorough patient assessments and develop clear, effective nursing plans
• Administer medications and treatments safely and in accordance with policy
• Monitor patient status, recognize changes, and escalate concerns promptly
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient-centered care
• Document clinical care accurately and timely in the patient record
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, discharge planning, and follow-up

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in Hawaii or eligible for licensure
• Experience in medical-surgical nursing (clinical experience preferred)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or ability to obtain upon hire
• Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and teamwork orientation
• Ability to work 12.5-hour per diem shifts and adapt to variable schedules

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid patient assessment and clinical decision-making skills
• Medication administration and IV therapy competence
• Familiarity with care planning and acute adult medical-surgical conditions
• Accurate clinical documentation and time management
• Effective communication with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
• Comfort working in a fast-paced hospital setting and prioritizing patient safety
