Registered Nurse - Med Surg Tele/PCU
Location: Prescott Valley, Arizona
Start Date: 06-29-2026
End Date: 09-28-2026
Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, every other weekend
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate care to a diverse patient population including post-surgical, medical, and telemetry patients
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms while delivering safe, high-quality nursing care
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support patients through recovery and acute illness
- Precept and mentor nursing students, helping shape the next generation of healthcare professionals
- Float to Multi Care Unit, Pediatric unit, and West Campus MedSurg Tele as needed to support patient care across the facility
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Arizona or compact license
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 1 year of MedSurg experience, telemetry experience preferred
- Ability to pass dysrhythmia exam with 80% or higher within two attempts
- Willingness to care for both MST and PCU level patients
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong telemetry and dysrhythmia interpretation skills
- Comfortable caring for patients with chest pain, COPD, pneumonia, and post-surgical needs
- Experience with stable CPAP and BiPAP management
- Ability to precept nursing students and support new team members
- Flexible and adaptable when floating to different units
