Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for Labor and Delivery patients of all ages
• Provide expert, compassionate care during labor, delivery, and the immediate postpartum period
• Monitor maternal and fetal status using electronic fetal monitoring and respond quickly to changes
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to create and adjust individualized care plans
• Document care accurately and advocate for the health and safety of mothers and newborns
• Mentor and direct care delivered by other team members under your supervision

Qualifications

• 2+ years of recent, high-volume Labor & Delivery experience
• Active Maryland RN license or compact license
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications
• Current EFM and NIHSS certifications, or willingness to obtain them within 48 hours if offered
• Previous travel experience and flexibility to work facility-defined schedules
• Willingness to complete 48-hour compliance on offer and provide required documentation

Knowledge & Skills

• Deep understanding of Labor & Delivery nursing care
• Proficiency in electronic fetal monitoring and interpretation
• Strong patient assessment and care planning abilities
• Excellent clinical documentation skills
• Effective communication and teamwork in a fast-paced environment
• Awareness of physical and developmental age-specific needs
