Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery
Location: Bellefontaine, Ohio
Start Date: 07-06-2026
Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: 36 hours per week, weekend rotation possible
Hours per Week: 60

Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive head-to-toe assessments on patients and reassess as per policy
- Assess and manage pain using appropriate techniques and educate patients/families
- Develop and revise plan of care based on patient response, evaluating daily for effectiveness
- Administer medications safely following the five medication rights
- Formulate and activate teaching plans based on identified learning needs
- Coordinate and supervise patient care, ensuring a safe environment
- Document all care according to standards and policies
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of L&D experience required
- Post partum and nursery experience required
- Active ACLS, BLS, and NRP certifications (AHA) required
- Ohio RN license (or compact) required
- BSN degree preferred
Education
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Patient assessment and care planning
- Pain management techniques
- Medication administration and safety
- Patient education and documentation
- Labor and delivery, post partum, nursery care
- ACLS, BLS, NRP certification skills
