Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality ICU nursing care including ventilator management and complex patient monitoring
• Perform telemetry monitoring and maintain accurate, timely documentation in Meditech Expanse
• Manage advanced procedures such as central line care, blood transfusions, and port access in collaboration with the team
• Assess and intervene for patients on CPAP/BiPAP and manage post-dialysis assessments as needed
• Safely perform therapeutic phlebotomy and assist with physician-led procedures like paracentesis
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, clinical nurse coordinators, and support staff to deliver excellent patient experiences
• Support unit staffing and participate in unit-specific policies and quality initiatives to enhance patient outcomes

Qualifications

• Active nursing license in good standing (compact license accepted if indicated)
• Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Current NIH Stroke Scale certification (annual recertification required)
• Comfortable with critical care equipment and telemetry systems
• Demonstrated ability to work 12-hour shifts and cover every-other-weekend scheduling

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong skills in ventilator management and ventilator-dependent patient care
• Telemetry monitoring proficiency and experience with Philips telemetry
• Hands-on experience with central lines, blood transfusions, and port access
• Familiarity with Meditech Expanse documentation system
• Experience with CPAP/BiPAP, chest tube and NG tube management, wound VACs, and drains
• Ability to support post-dialysis assessments and assist with physician-led procedures
