Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on patient care and assist with activities of daily living
• Monitor and record vital signs, reporting changes promptly to nursing staff
• Assist nursing team with safe transfers, ambulation, and mobility needs
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and adhere to infection control protocols
• Communicate with patients and families in a respectful, supportive manner
• Document care accurately and timely in patient charts and handoffs

Qualifications

• Active CNA / Certified Nursing Assistant certification (required)
• Current BLS/CPR certification (preferred or required per facility)
• Prior experience in long-term care, acute care, or similar setting helpful
• Ability to work nights and pick up per-diem shifts reliably
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an approved CNA training program and active certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Comfortable with routine patient care, patient hygiene, and toileting assistance
• Proficient in taking and documenting vital signs
• Knowledge of basic infection prevention and safety practices
• Good observational skills and ability to escalate clinical changes
• Compassionate bedside manner and effective teamwork skills
