Roles & Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, and implement patient care across medical-surgical, cardiac telemetry, stroke neuro, and step-down ICU units
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive, coordinated care
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments following approved nursing techniques and state regulations
• Develop and execute individualized patient care plans, including patient and family education
• Document care accurately and participate in unit performance improvement activities
• Guide and support other units/departments with clinical expertise to enhance patient outcomes
• Apply critical thinking to ensure patient safety and elevate the patient experience

Qualifications

• Active Illinois RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, including ICU and cardiac nursing
• Willingness to float to medical-surgical units as needed
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (education verification required)

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in medical-surgical, cardiac telemetry, stroke neuro, step-down ICU, and ICU nursing
• Experience with cardiac patient care and cardiac monitoring
• Strong float pool adaptability across multiple units
• Skilled in Point Click electronic medical record (EMR) system
• Excellent critical thinking, communication, and teamwork abilities
