Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emergency nursing care with initiative, flexibility, and minimal supervision
• Rapidly and accurately triage patients to prioritize care based on need
• Perform thorough patient assessments and implement timely interventions
• Administer medications safely and pass required medication competency testing
• Communicate patient status and concerns clearly to physicians and multidisciplinary teams
• Document care accurately in the electronic medical record and maintain legal standards
• Float to Med-Surg or cross-train in other departments as staffing needs require
• Maintain certifications and participate in ongoing training to stay current with best practices

Qualifications

• Current California RN license (required)
• BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications (required)
• 2+ years recent ER experience preferred
• Proven ability to triage and manage emergency patients in a fast-paced environment
• Comfortable with medication administration and able to pass a nursing medication test
• Effective English communication skills, both verbal and written
• Willingness to float to Med-Surg and cross-train as needed

• Electronic Medical Records (EMR) familiarity and basic computer skills
• Strong interpersonal and professional communication
