Shift Type: 12-hour day shifts starting at 5:45 AM, every other weekend, first to float

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $83 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver exceptional care to high-acuity CVICU patients including pre and post-op CABG, TAVR, CRRT, and critical drips
Monitor and interpret telemetry strips, manage vents, and collaborate on Swan monitoring protocols
Float proactively to MSNICU while providing 1:1-2 ratio bedside nursing
Work confidently across all assigned cases with support from charge nurse, RT, and intensivists
Participate in rapid extubations and pathway protocols to optimize patient outcomes

Qualifications

Active RN license required
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
Minimum 2 full years of CVICU experience plus 1 completed travel assignment
2 supervisory references: one within 12 months and one within 3 years
Pass DYS exam through UNA prior to contract with 80% score on up to 2 attempts

Education

BSN not required

Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency in Cerner EMR
Ability to read and interpret EKG strips
Neuro experience preferred for MSNICU floating
Proactive mindset with confidence to seek help when needed
High-acuity skills including vents, critical drips, IABP, and CRRT validation
