Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional care to neuro ICU patients including stroke, craniotomies, and ventriculostomies
• Monitor and manage vents while interpreting EKGs with precision
• Collaborate with hospitalists and intensivists in a state-of-the-art 20-bed unit
• Provide break relief as charge nurse and support safety attendants
• Handle line insertions and neuro interventional cases in a high-acuity environment
• Contribute to a strong stroke program making real differences in patient outcomes

Qualifications

• Active RN license with 2+ years of Neuro ICU experience preferred
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Proficiency in Cerner EMR system
• Ability to pass DYS exam through UNA prior to contract with 80% score
• Two supervisory references including one within 12 months
• No direct employment with CommonSpirit facilities in the past year

Education

• BSN not required

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in EKG interpretation and telemetry monitoring
• Ventilator management and critical care interventions
• Neuro-specific knowledge for CVA, ICB, and neurosurgeries
• Strong team collaboration in fast-paced ICU settings
