Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, start at 6:45 AM or PM, rotating weekends and holidays

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $55 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert emergency nursing care to a diverse patient population including trauma, cardiac, stroke, and pediatric cases
Manage critical drips such as pressors and sedation while monitoring patient responses
Interpret telemetry strips and perform EKGs independently
Collaborate with physicians, mid-levels, and support staff in a fast-paced Level III Trauma Center
Ensure patient safety and advocate for optimal outcomes in every shift

Qualifications

2 years of recent ER nursing experience - first-time travelers welcome!
Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required
Must pass Advanced Dysrhythmia exam (83% or higher) before contract start
Ability to care for all ages from pediatrics to adults in a community ER setting

Knowledge & Skills

Advanced dysrhythmia interpretation and telemetry monitoring
Proficiency with ER equipment including vents, CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen
Strong assessment skills for trauma, stroke, and cardiac emergencies
Experience with pediatric care and emergency stabilization
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
