Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate emergency nursing care for patients across the lifespan
• Perform rapid triage and prioritized assessment to ensure timely interventions
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and treatments per physician orders and protocols
• Collaborate closely with physicians, techs, and support staff to coordinate patient care
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in the medical record
• Participate in patient and family education to support understanding of treatment plans
• Contribute to a culture of safety by following policies, reporting concerns, and engaging in improvement efforts

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license; NH license preferred or ability to obtain
• BLS (Basic Life Support) required
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) preferred or willingness to obtain
• Previous Emergency Department experience preferred
• Strong clinical assessment skills, critical thinking, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Current immunizations and ability to meet facility onboarding requirements

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Triage and acute patient assessment in emergency settings
• IV insertion and medication administration
• Cardiac monitoring and recognition of arrhythmias
• Wound care and basic procedures commonly performed in ED
• Effective communication with multidisciplinary teams and patients' families
• Time management and prioritization under pressure
