Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and triage adult patients quickly and accurately in a busy emergency setting
• Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care during stabilization and treatment
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and emergency interventions according to protocols
• Collaborate with physicians, techs, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses clearly and professionally
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and follow-up care plans
• Maintain situational awareness and escalate changes in patient condition promptly

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid for practice in Texas (required)
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience (as listed in the job posting); ED experience highly preferred
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) preferred or willingness to obtain
• Current immunizations and ability to meet facility onboarding requirements
• Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and effective communication skills

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Triage and emergency assessment of adult patients
• Familiarity with ED workflows, rapid decision-making, and high-acuity care
• IV placement, medication administration, and basic procedural assists
• Accurate EHR documentation and charting
• Ability to manage multiple patients and prioritize effectively under pressure
• Teamwork, clear communication, and patient-centered bedside manner
